Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Retrieve repair orders from the dispatcher and take the car to the stall area.
- Work in accordance with factory and dealership standards, providing work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Adequately diagnose and repair the cause of malfunctions as authorized by the customer.
- Obtain necessary parts from the Parts Department.
- When the job is under warranty or when requested by the customer, tag and set aside parts to be delivered at the end of work.
- Immediately notify the service advisor when changes to the work schedule occur, such as if any additional work is needed, repairs cannot be performed in the given time, or work outlined is not needed.
- Provide thorough documentation of work performed.
- Use road tests to ensure that customer complaints have been handled.
- Participate in quality checks of work performed.
- Be present for required training classes.
- Stay informed regarding factory technical bulletins.
- Keep the customers’ vehicles clean while working on them.
- Administer proper safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Know, understand, and follow all federal, state, and local regulations that govern service and repair work.
